So, this is what the Kashmiri mountains look like close up at ground level.

Well, not quite ground level. 'Gulmarg' meaning 'meadow of flowers' stands at an altitude of 2690m above sea level, amidst an amazing pine cover, which makes you incredibly heady as soon as you get to this neck of the woods.
